  • No, unless under force. Reason being people are comforted by their belief, feel life is purposeful (objectively), are brought up with religion from childhood and part of that such as praying multiple times a day, going to temple, eating together, is inbedded in their culture, and people tend to get stability from this, finally people continue to have experiences for which change their outlook significantly and that cannot be undone, hence alongside the discoveries in science have also been the mystical experiences of man.
  • No, atheism does not offer anything. It's a rejection of a belief. We are not really attracted to nothing. If you were dropped in the ocean you would look for something, anything. You are not going to say; Yeah, finally free of land and society, lets head for the horizon. I can only assume atheist feel suffocated by religion and want to live as they like without obligation to overhanging expectations and failed human organisations. The question is where to they go with their claimed freedom. Are they happy for the people around them to do what they like? What rules do they want to establish so their freedom is not encroached upon?At some point they will establish rules which need to be based on articulated values. If others share those values they will become ...ists. And they will hope there will be no atheist to their values.
  • If it is the inevitable future, then imagine their surprise when He comes again in glory to judge the living and the dead. 5/8/25
