Are you still jealous, cause you cannot afford European vehicles, which are desired by many people all over the world who want to give themselves a touch of prestige? Oh, you drive a Dodge truck, you are a rugged Australian, you have bad manners, so what could you care about luxury vehicles? LOL -
★Stevo
i don't buy euro shit.i cant afford a dodge. You know nothing about cars end of story. most euro cars are rooted by 100k miles go buy one and see what happens. -

Go buy one? I have 2 of them. A 2012 Land Rover LR4 and a 2018 Mercedes-Benz E400 Sedan. I know enough about cars to hold a discussion. What do you actually drive? Year/make/model if you don't mind me asking. BTW, European vehicles can reach 300,000 miles with proper maintenance and care. Google it. -

last time we spoke about something mechanical you told me self drilling screws will hold things on and not rattle out you have never worked on any car. .https://slotcar-today.com/problems/mercedes-benz/e400/2018 you call that reliable ? -
Jenny The Great ⭐
I remember I mentioned self-drilling screws to hold the ends of an LED tailgate light bar, as it is recommended by the manufacturer, unless a customer buys the kind with double-sided tape. Guess what? Cars in Australia, holes or no holes drilled are highly affected by saltwater. Now this causes corrosion to many parts of a vehicle. And you want to make a big deal about a couple of self-drilling screws? ROTFLMAO -

To your link, daily driving can lead to increased wear and tear in ANY car. Both of my luxury vehicles are pleasure vehicles, they have very low miles and are mostly driven on the weekends. I have a 2006 Toyota Matrix too. This is my daily driver. -

I don't have to work on a car to know about cars. The logic I use, especially of the do's and don'ts is what counts. -

l go rid of the cars I never drove the too many cars wasting money on rego and keeping them road worthy do you have yearly inspections for rego? weekly I find some thing rattled off one of our trailers that was held on with self drillers. So you also drive a toyota as a daily why not the land rover? -

I got my Land Rover SUV in 2012, new from the showroom floor. It's Made in England. I paid it off in 5 years. It has under 50,000 miles. On my Mercedes-Benz, it is Made in Germany. I bought it pre-owned with 35,000 miles in January of 2022. It's a 4-MATIC, so it's a harder model to find. Just a couple of thousand miles is what I have put on it. I'm still paying for it. These 2 luxury vehicles are an investment. Both are black in color. Putting a lot of miles on them will lower the value. Yearly inspections is not a problem for me. Now the cost of full coverage insurance is. Car insurance has gone up in America. The Toyota work car is not worth but $1,000 or 1,556.80 AUD. It has liability insurance, which is cheap on this car. This is why putting a lot of miles on it, getting parking door dents or leaving it outside of the garage during a hailstorm is no biggie. -

investing in cars lol? As no one has any money at the moment some of my friends have found out their investment cars aren't worth half of what they think there worth, rotting internally from rarely being driven. taking up shed space for 20 odd years. -

I was lucky 2 cars I had turned out to be popular I only keep one of them because no one would buy it years before. -

No one has money at the moment? Perhaps not in Australia, but in the US depending on the year/make/model of the car, low miles and the overall appearance, people are more than interested in buying used cars, now that new car sales are extremely high. And besides, my investment does not consist of any car. These are luxury vehicles many people desire. Just like me, I could have bought a new 2022 Toyota Camry, a 2022 Nissan Altima, a 2022 Chevrolet Impala or a Chrysler 300. To me these are average cars. This is why I chose the 2018 Mercedes-Benz, in spite of being 4 years older, cause I know I can style and profile in this car, and in my Land Rover too, which is exactly what I'm doing. -
Jenny The Great ⭐
If you don't understand what I mean about styling and profiling, it means that even though I am a middle-class citizen, I can feel like I'm wealthy or a celebrity when I drive them. I know, what is the world coming to. But that's how it is these days with many people who want to show more than what they have. LOL -

A 2018 car will be cheap and lose value for the next 10 years. If you invested the money in a proper investment you'll make more money. Euro cars lose a lot of money here I know plenty of tossers that buy them and lose money trading them in on new ones. -

As long as your Merc is AMG . If I had an AMG merc Id drive it as often as possible. One with 50k kilometers on it here would set you back about $100k AU. Aussie money fast turning worthless. -
Jenny The Great ⭐
New Japanese, American or South Korean cars are already cheap and loose tremendous value once they leave the dealership. These are not desired cars. Whereas, many classic European cars hold good value, especially those that have low miles, are well-maintained and in good condition. Factors like brand reputation, rarity and overall condition significantly influence a car's worth. -
Jenny The Great ⭐
Quote: "Euro cars lose a lot of money here" Let's find out. I just googled the popularity of European cars in Australia. Google says German luxury brands like Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi are particularly popular in Australia. You lied to me. lol -
Jenny The Great ⭐
I don't need an AMG. Do you want to know why? My Mercedes-Benz already has 18" inch wheels, a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, dual exhaust, it produces 329 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque, 4-wheel drive and etc. What more could I want? -
★Stevo
I thought we were talking about good cars, Mercedes-AMG ect since you said you had merc that was an investment i assumed it was mercedes amg. not run of the mill cars like a 2006 Mercedes-Benz C-CLASS C180 Kompressor Elegance for example. they arent worth much unless you want to drive one and maintain it with genuine parts. -
Jenny The Great ⭐
The talk has not changed, since my Mercedes-Benz is an investment. The MSRP price in 2018 was at $65,000. I know I cannot get that amount of money if I sell it. I can get $25,000 for it. The car is in excellent condition. It's black on black too, meaning the exterior is black, and so is the interior. It actually took me a year to find this specific model. Other Mercedes-Benz cars are Made in Canada and in other countries. Yet, like I told you, mine is Made in Germany. Talk about German technology. Get you some of that. :D -
Jenny The Great ⭐
Oh, Mercedes-Benz offers a range of models within the C, E and S class. E and S are the best. They are more on the manly side compared to C-Class, which are exclusively for women, being they are smaller cars with 4-cylinder engines.

If the car has under 100,000 miles, the paintwork is in good condition, a clean interior, then maybe.
