Back in 1966, I worked for the Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game. I was placed on a small island, Round Island, on walrus protection. One other man and I were on the island for 2 1/2 months. We had food but had to drink spring water that had tinny worms in it. We were told the worms only lived in pure water and would die as soon as we mixed our Tang into the water. I guess it was OK as they never bothered me. So yes, it would be easy to survive 30 days on an island.

Yes, with plenty of food, water, Off! spray, a knife and a spear for protection, I'll consider it a vacation.
