I live in a village and I'm really lucky I do, it costs a lot to live in the country, you normally have to be rich to live in green spaces surrounded by countryside. We have large beautiful thatched farm houses from the 1400's, buzzards, Kites, flying above, lots of wildlife, fresh air, low traffic, less noise, local fresh farm produce, friendly neighbours, communities, what's not to love?
