  • For the same reason you believe in a car's instruction manual. It tells you what the do's and don'ts are. Same with the Bible. It teaches you what to do and not do in order to be saved.
  • The bible is a compilation of writings from different eras and different people. The OT is the history of the origin of mankind and the calling of the Jews thru Abram and Sarai of Ur in the Chaldees. Their war victories and losses and the predictions of the major and minor prophets. The NT is the eye witness memoirs of the apostles to the ministry of Jesus, the organization of the early Church in Acts and the letters of Paul and the other apostles to their churches and disciples, plus the revelation of John written when he was getting old. There are archeological discoveries that support the biblical version of many events and there extra-biblical accounts of Jesus. He was a real person, and the writers were witness to real events, IMHO. 5/12/25
