Would you let your 15 year old child drive an old car around a paddock?
Or is that too dangerous? When I showed the boys a crude way of starting an early 2000 model car is that teaching them to steal cars?

Sure, after a bit of instruction. I taught all my kids and most of my grandkids to drive on the rancheria and the back roads of the forest service lands. They had to stay on our land to drive at first, until they got some experience. Then only with an adult on the govt roads until they got their license. 8/3/25

I received my driver's license at 14, because I had to drive farm crops to the gin for processing. If the child is responsible and listens, I see no problem with them driving.
