Since you are from the UK, I would say certain users like to give long-winded answers so they can appear intelligent to others, even if they are not saying anything constructive. This is a tactic used to deter trolls. Meaning, the more they write, the more intimidating they look. Take for example the frilled-neck lizard 🦎 or the pufferfish. 🐟 When threatened, they appear larger to intimidate predators. It's the users who get straight to the point that pack a punch. 🥊

I don't think the prices of bacon are going to decrease anytime soon, but I do like sandwiches with a fried egg and some bacon, even without butter or sauce, but if I was to have sauce it would be tomato, so long as it doesn't overpower the bacon.
