Does talking mean to only say one or few words or to say a bunch of words?
To say and to talk are quite the same thing if you know what I mean.

To say something is different to talking. To talk means effort has been made in a conversation but to say something in a few words is a lazy way of communicating. To express oneself verbally means to talk to the other person and if someone means what they say with detail also means to talk. There is a difference between saying short words and saying things with description and detail.
