Yes. Boring fact: the North Pole of the Earth is arbitrarily defined as the axis point along which the Earth rotates, which happens to be in the Arctic Ocean. The north pole of a magnet is defined as the end of the magnet which tends to align itself facing the North Pole. Like magnets repel, and opposites attract, so, technically, the North Pole (capital letters referring to geography) is the south pole (lower case letters refering to magnetic field).
